About ‘The Swallow (Oudemolen)’ by Johan Mooibroek
The windmill De Zwaluw is located at the Molensteeg in Oudemolen. It is a reed-covered, octagonal wooden ground-sailer that was built in 1837 to replace a blown down stand windmill. The mill was restored in 1951 and in 1980/81. During the last restoration the self-weighing on the inner rod was removed.
