The canal and its buildings

About this work:
In Amersfoort, as in many other medieval city centres, the city centre is surrounded by a moat. Formerly mainly useful in protecting the city, now it adds to its appearance. This photo was taken from the inner ring and you look out onto the outer ring. The beautiful canal houses complete the picture.

About Jeroen Berendse:
In daily life, I am a marketer. That means listening and watching customers carefully and using that knowledge to come up with relevant solutions. As a photographer, I basically do the same thing, with the difference that I mainly listen to myself.

Photography is a way of telling a story. Shaped into the perfect still image. A good photo takes your mind to a special place in the world, an event that makes you smile or puts your creative mind to work. And because this is very personal, the same photo evokes a different experience and feeling in everyone. In the photographer but also in the viewer.

My portfolio contains photos of many different subjects. You can find my complete portfolio in my shop at Werk aan de Muur and on my website www.jeroenberendse.nl.
