The day is pure bliss

The artwork depicts a radiant, autumnal riverside landscape bathed in intense shades of red, orange and gold. A tranquil river flows through the lower part of the composition, reflecting the vibrant colours of the banks. On the smooth surface of the water, the warm hues blend with soft shades of blue to form a harmonious whole. Both banks are densely covered with lush trees, whose autumnal foliage shines in all its splendour. Vivid shades of red and purple dominate the left and right sides, whilst a golden-yellow glow spreads across the background. Delicate, dark branches and tree trunks pierce through the dense swathes of colour, lending structure to the painting. In the upper section, one glimpses a delicate blue sky through the treetops, creating a cool contrast. The expressive and impasto application of paint lends the foliage a lively, almost dynamic texture. The light streaming in from the centre creates a palpable sense of depth and an almost magical glow in the middle of the picture. Overall, the painting radiates a deep zest for life, warmth and the pure bliss of a perfect autumn day.
