Last week I looked out my window in the morning and knew I had to go out and take pictures. I drove my mobility scooter to the Broekpolder in Vlaardingen just after noon. There it was beautiful with fog no longer obstructing all visibility. The thistles along the water had a white coating from a distance. I decided to take a closer look at this. How wonderful! The spider had spun all kinds of threads and was sitting on the top of the Thistle waiting for a treat. The threads were beautifully decorated with all kinds of very small droplets through the mist. So that was the white blanket I had seen from a distance. A beautiful spectacle with the white fog still clearly visible in the background. I did not have a macro lens with me, yet I managed to capture it beautifully. Even the spider is visible!
I got photography from home. It was my father's hobby. In my youth he had his own darkroom to develop his photos. Later I started to photograph myself with an analogue camera. In the meantime it has made way for a digital SLR camera. No more photo rolls, but unlimited cutting. I photograph all kinds of things.
B12 Deficiency and Thin Fiber Neuropathy (DVN) threw some soot in the food in terms of possibilities. Now I briefly go out with my scooter or wheelchair and take my camera with me or look for it closer to home in the garden, so I can still take nice pictures. Again and again I see nice things to capture. I like to share all that beauty and who knows, there might be a nice picture for you on your wall!
With my photography I also want to draw attention to B12 Deficiency and DVN. I am very happy with the cooperation between the B12 institute and Erasmus MC, Department of Clinical Chemistry. They founded the B12 Institute Research Foundation.
Because I would like to support this Foundation with their good and important work, I would like to donate 10% of my commission from the sale of my photos to them. So when you buy a picture of my hand for on your wall, you help to raise awareness of (h)recognition and treatment of B12 Deficiency. DVN can be the cause of, among other things, untreated B12 Deficiency.
