Trumpet sculpture in copper and ivory

This brass-and-ivory trumpet sculpture depicts a long, gracefully curved wind instrument in the shape of a horn, which gradually flares out from a narrow brass end to a wide, ivory-coloured opening. The brass runs along the underside as a shiny, reflective band and merges seamlessly into a smooth, matt white surface at the top. The soft, warm light casts a long shadow on the light beige background, bringing out the smooth, flowing curve of the horn to its best advantage. The warm brown background with its gentle gradient lends the whole piece a calm, refined atmosphere. The flowing line evokes movement and sound, as if the form might burst into sound at any moment.

Shiny copper, soft ivory and warm brown tones form a harmonious palette that gives this artwork an earthy, refined look and blends effortlessly into warm interiors.

For centuries, horns have heralded events and signalled celebrations, from hunting calls to ceremonial fanfares, and this modern interpretation in copper and ivory connects that ancient significance with a streamlined, contemporary design.

In a warm, stylish living room, dining room or hall, this wall-mounted artwork creates an elegant focal point, and is available in a range of materials and sizes.
