Woman with a violin, Cubism, light brown

This Cubist painting of a woman with a violin brings a quiet, musical moment to life in a soft and layered composition, in which angular planes in cream, light brown and grey come together to form a tranquil scene that embodies the serenity of a closed face and the warmth of music. This remarkable work of art features faceted forms with subtle shadows, whilst the visible brushstrokes and the linen-like texture of the canvas capture the atmosphere in an artistic and contemporary manner. The sandy and earthy tones lend the whole a tranquil aura that subtly yet powerfully reflects the intimacy of the moment.

The face and instrument dissolve into overlapping triangles and diagonal lines, creating a layered composition that allows the eye to discover a new shape amidst the light and dark areas with every glance.

The neutral, warm colours allow this work to blend effortlessly with a natural, Scandinavian or classic interior. On the wall of a living room, bedroom or study, it lends a calm yet artistic tone, whilst above a sofa or on a light-coloured corridor wall, it adds depth without overwhelming the space.

Music lovers and connoisseurs of Cubism will find in this painting a gentle and poetic work that brings the tranquillity of a small concert into the home.
