While walking along the Cabezo del horno a 245-metre-high mountain located behind the campsite Los Madrilles, Islaplana, Spain.
I came across this beautiful yellow flower. The vegatation against this mountainside consists mainly of some shrubs and various grasses. But here and there still a nice shrub or plant. Including this Bird of Paradise bush or Caesalpinia gilliesii this is an exotic leguminous plant.
The plant has a stunning look with its beautiful leaves and pods. Find the flower really stunning. It looks like the flower with its red blades running across the bush.
The inflorescences are beautiful and have a particularly tropical look. The plant blooms in the months of July and August with beautiful yellow flowers. Then, after the flowering period, the pods grow out here, which are bright red in colour.
Despite its moderate winter hardiness, the bird of paradise bush is highly recommended, mainly because of its beautiful leaves and phenomenal flowers that come out throughout the summer. The plant can grow to a height of 200 cm.
