Bradford Pear Blossom on White
The delicate Bradford Pear blossoms have just opened for the first time this Spring. The center of the white blossoms has a delicate line of green and dark pink stamens. The blossoms are under the shade of its tree. The morning sun drops a shadow onto the white canvas I placed behind the blossoms. This makes for a beautiful high-key composition without harming the tree. It also creates clean white-on-white floral artwork.
The view of this photograph is at a on a low angle looking into the Bradford Pear Blossom. This gives the viewer the feeling that they are looking directly at this blossom cluster at eye level.
The atmosphere of this floral is that of standing under a Bradford pear tree in the shade on a cool Spring morning. It has a sense of peace, serenity and quiet.
Macro photography allows me to get close and intimate with my subject matter. It shows the beauty easily overlooked due to our busy lifestyles. My artwork gives the viewer a sense of calm, peace, and relaxation. A reprieve from daily stresses.
As a photographer who comes from the days of film, I do minimal post-processing. Much like I did in the traditional darkroom. I want the viewer to feel like they are right there where my photograph was taken. Creating a visual escape.
