Granny Smith Apple Top - The tell tell sign of a great Granny Smith apples are the saddle soft green pattern in its skin. This apple is a lushes medium green, crisp in texture and tangy in taste. One of my favored apples I like to use to make my apple pie fillings. I combine the tangy apples with sweeter varieties to compliment each others flavors.
The inspiration for this apple macro photograph was our annual teachers appreciation day. I did not want to show the whole apple since it is such a cliche' here in the USA.
This is a new contemporary apple for the modern times we live in. The apple got its name from Mary Ann Smith. She cultivated fruits and in her later years urned her nick name Granny Smith.
Thank you for visiting my gallery. I am adding new work daily so make sure to keep coming back.
