Honeywort Flower after Summer Rain - I found this flower in a specialty section for plants bees love. It has adapted to our garden in strive. Indeed our honeybees do love them. at one time it was thought bees got wax for their hives from the flowers.
The blossoms are not very large but grow in abandance. Each bee can have each own tiny pollen portal. The honeywort flower is from the borage family. I took this macro floral from below to allow the viewer to see the inside of the bells and the lovely foliage.
I photographed this tiny purple honeywort flower at eye-level, letting the viewer see some of the bell shape of this purple honeywort flower. A tiny raindrop is sitting on the lower edge of the flower. Above it raindrops are on top of its green leaves.
The floral meaning and symbolism is wonderment at nature's power to command our attention and surprise.
