They are classified in the section Cyanococcus within the genus Vaccinium. Vaccinium also includes cranberries, bilberries and grouseberries. Commercial "blueberries" are native to North America, and the "highbush" varieties were not introduced into Europe until the 1930s

Macro photography allows me to get close and intimate with my subject matter. It shows the beauty easily overlooked due to our busy lifestyles. My artwork gives the viewer a sense of calm, peace, and relaxation. A reprieve from daily stresses.
As a photographer who comes from the days of film, I do minimal post-processing. Much like I did in the traditional darkroom. I want the viewer to feel like they are right there where my photograph was taken. Creating a visual escape.
