Pub in London

A pub in London is shown: a corner pub with a dark green façade and tall windows filled with warm light. Flower baskets hang above the entrance and along the façade, whilst small tables and chairs are set out on the pavement. Above the pub rises a brick building with light-coloured window frames. To the left stands a red telephone box, with a dark street post in the foreground and trees lining the façades.

The deep green colour of the pub contrasts with the yellow leaves, warm brickwork and the red telephone box. Light tones on the pavement alternate with blue and grey shadows. The loose, impressionistic style lends movement to the flowers and foliage, whilst the corner of the building keeps the composition well-defined. The lit-up windows form a warm focal point amidst the cool exterior colours.

This British cityscape will appeal to lovers of London, traditional pubs and characterful street corners. In a living room, dining room or reading corner, the colour palette complements dark wood, green fabrics and warm lighting. The artwork combines a recognisable London street scene with the inviting atmosphere of a local pub. The flowers and small seating areas give the image a homely, lively feel.
