Urban Horizon

Urban Horizon is a colourful, geometric representation of a modern skyline. Slender towers in dark blue and black stand amongst translucent-looking blocks of colour. Turquoise and blue-green dominate on the left and at the bottom, whilst a large orange diagonal fills the top right-hand corner. Curved shapes in yellow, pink and orange break up the straight lines of the architecture. Small windows, horizontal stripes and fine vertical lines lend the buildings extra rhythm.

The city is constructed from overlapping rectangles, triangles and circles. Some façades appear to slide past other coloured panels, lending depth to the otherwise flat image. A tall, narrow spire at the top draws the eye upwards. Dark shapes at the bottom edge give the whole composition a solid foundation. The warm orange contrasts with the cool turquoise, whilst pink accents connect the different sections. The recognisable skyline thus remains in balance with the abstract composition.

This graphic wall art suits a modern interior that combines colour and clean lines. In a living room, hall or study, the piece creates a vibrant focal point. Dark blue furniture can echo the towers; a turquoise or orange accessory complements the larger blocks of colour. The vertical format gives even a narrow wall a distinct urban feel. A neutral background allows the layered geometry to really come into its own.
