Yellow Wood Sorrels - the yellow wood sorrel is a tiny wildflower. Its leave look a lot like clover. The leaflets look heartshape. It grows in our area from Spring to Fall. The wood sorrel also goes by sheep sorrle and saurgrass. The wood sorrle is a herb plant. The wood sorrle is used as medicin and suppose helpful for liver and digestive disorders. Woodsorrel sourgrass is a native North American plant. The flower has a sour taste and makes an exellent tea. It can also be used in stews and salads but in moderation. It has oxalic acid, which can be toxic in high quantities. This tiny yellow flower is a powerhouse and its benefits to many to list here.
