There was a lovely view of the City of Stavelot (Belgium). I came back at the this moment before sunset, when the sun only just touched the hills behind the city, where, with the sunlight disapearing from the valley, the lights were already coming on.

My works originate from an idealistic representation of existing ideas that I have. With landscapes, I try to create the image in exactly the right circumstances so that the image comes as close as possible to this ideal picture. With the more creative compositions I think up a fantasy and try to execute it as beautifully as possible.
