About André Roodhuizen

Image-making is my passion!
Photography is more than capturing reality.

It is capturing what the photographer has seen!

I have been photographing since I was 6 years old. As a little boy, I developed my own films and sat with my father in the darkroom. My first camera was a Beirette 35mm camera with no exposure meter.

After working for several years in care for people with intellectual disabilities, I started working in the printing industry. Among other things, I worked as head of order management and logistics and as head of inside sales. I also worked as a project manager for an ICT company for five years, and then as an account manager for a company involved in automating publishing processes. But since 2008, I have been working full-time as a photographer.

I photograph for companies all over the Netherlands.

Besides being a photographer, I am a freelance teacher of photography. At the fotovakschool, I taught both the MBO vocational course and the HBO photographic design course.

I am also a tutor at Laudius for the subjects Photoshop, Web Design and Photography.
