About me – Photography with feeling
My passion for photography began about a year ago, with sports photography. Capturing movement, emotion and special moments taught me to look at things differently. Not just at what is happening, but above all at what an image can convey.
I recently took my first steps into landscape photography. The reason for this was very personal.
Following my father’s passing, I visited the Ooijpolder, a place he loved to visit. With my camera, I set out to find a way to capture the feeling of saying goodbye. Not by literally depicting grief, but through the silence of the landscape, the morning mist, the soft light and roads that slowly fade from view.
The theme I had in mind was ‘departure’.
What began as a personal moment of remembrance grew into my first landscape photo essay. A series in which light and dark, silence and space come together.
Through my photography, I want to capture more than just a beautiful image. I want to create an atmosphere, tell a story and invite the viewer to pause for a moment.
Because sometimes a landscape says exactly what words cannot.
