About "Blue hour on Rotterdam skyline"

About the artwork

Rotterdam is a city always on the move, but during the blue hour, a special calm comes over the water. In this photo, you can see the impressive skyline with the iconic Erasmus Bridge at the heart of the image. The cool blue light of the evening reflects beautifully on the Maas, while the city's first lights cast a warm glow over the high-rises. What immediately appeals to me is the combination of modern architecture and the serene atmosphere that emerges as soon as day turns to night.

My inspiration for this shot came from the contrast between energy and stillness. From this spot by the water, the city seems to stand still for a moment, but at the same time you feel the promise of a vibrant evening. The reflections, the play of colours and the characteristic shapes make this work a true ode to Rotterdam.

This image brings style, depth and a modern look to any interior. Perfect for those who love urban photography, architecture or a touch of Rotterdam pride at home. Ideal for the office, the living room or as an eye-catcher in a sleek room.

About Roy Poots

In 2009 Roy Poots bought his very first SLR camera, a Canon EOS 450D. After having photographed everything for a while, he realised that he liked landscapes, architecture and (nocturnal) cityscapes the most by far. Since then, he has devoted himself to these subjects.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
