I saw these copper pans in the kitchen of the 17th-century Château Comartin in Burgundy, France. They stand on a charcoal-burning stovetop.
It is a beautiful castle built in the 17th century and surrounded by moats and adorned by a magnificent 12-hectare park, where flower beds, a traditional kitchen garden, a box maze, water features and bicentenary lime trees succeed each other.Inside the castle, you walk through the gilded halls with subtle references to the grand hotels of Paris and the Louvre and the Marquise's flat and several antechambers. And both the flamboyant carvings, magnificent mantelpieces and painted French ceilings are in top condition.
