"Country love: Together in the foreground" is a macro shot of two sprites (with seed pods) of dried flax, standing in front of a large bunch of dried flax. Because the natural brown tones of the dried flax of the two sprites in the foreground are reflected in the colour of background (the bunch of dried flax), a calm and cohesive picture is created.
When taking this photo, I chose to set my camera so that only the flax in the foreground is in focus. The flax in the background can only be seen as abstract blurred outlines. This creates a sense of depth (difference between foreground and background) in the photo. It also creates a kind of calmness in the photo, as not all the flax in the background is also in focus. The emphasis in the work will be on the two front sprites.
Beautiful as a wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the sofa. (Also of course beautiful on the wall in a business space, such as meeting room or waiting room).
