I took this photo on the Beekhuizerzand near Harderwijk in the Veluwe. The stumps in the photo are from a Scots pine, which is common in the Veluwe. The trunk that is completely on the ground has been cut down by man, as you can see, and has been like this for a while. The beekhuizerand is owned by the municipality of Harderwijk and leased by the Ministry of Defence. It is, however, a unique piece of nature you can mainly see in the Netherlands. To take this photo, I had put my camera on a tripod.
