The chalk cliffs of Etretat in Normandy are phenomenal. One of the rock formations is reminiscent of an elephant sticking its trunk into the water and is therefore also called the Elephant Rock. To get a good view of the some 70-metre-high rocks from above, you have to climb a bit. The view is more than worth it.
The rocks of Etrat make this one of the most beautiful places on the French coast.
