Morning Glory!
Bird in the early morning is a watercolour painting in landscape format, painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. A robin sits on a branch in a tree in the morning and greets the new day with a beautiful song. The morning sky glows in delicate pastel colours of blue, yellow and pink.
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art and artwork) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetry form consisting of three lines.
Here the watercolour painting has been supplemented with the haiku in English. In my portfolio there is also a variant with the poem in Dutch (see album 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'). The painting is also available without text (see album 'Birds').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
