About "Golden Eye - The view behind the darkness"

by Klaus Tesching

About the artwork

This work radiates a mysterious, almost supernatural energy. The figure's face is flawless and sculptural, but it is interrupted by dark, horizontal bars that have been placed over the perception like fragmented shadows. This creates the impression of a distorted reality, an identity caught between visibility and concealment.

The golden eye that emerges from the darkness is particularly fascinating - luminous, structured and with an almost divine presence. It looks like a window to another dimension, a symbol of enlightenment, realisation or a hidden truth that can no longer be concealed. The contrast between deep black and radiant gold reinforces the symbolism of light and shadow, of ignorance and knowledge, of deception and truth.

The black stripes seem not only to conceal, but also to be part of a digital disintegration - as if the image were dissolving into individual codes and fragments. At the same time, some black elements flow down, like leaking ink or dripping thoughts trying to reshape themselves.

"Goldenes Auge - Der Blick hinter der Dunkelheit" is a reflection on the hidden and the revealed. It challenges the viewer to ask themselves: Is what we see really reality? Or is what lies in the dark the real truth? An intense, multi-layered image that is both modern and timeless.
