When I walk through picturesque Middle Delfland, I feel as if I am breathing in the breath of nature. With my camera in hand, I search for the hidden stories the landscape has to tell. Birds hide in the reeds or high in the trees, their songs like whispers in the wind. It takes patience and attention to capture these moments - peering into the trees, searching through the reeds, waiting for that one sign of life.
The Vockestaert, an area between Delft and Schiedam, is a place full of memories. Here I spotted my first Goldfinch and Bluethroat, but the Bearded Tit remains my most cherished discovery. These encounters are the inspiration for my art.
The resulting artwork is a fusion of photography and digital art. In MidJourney, I created an abstract, painterly background in warm tones. The watercolour-like textures and soft colour transitions give the work a dreamy, almost magical atmosphere.
This artwork is more than a visual representation of nature. It brings a sense of calm and serenity to the home and fits perfectly into a variety of interior styles, from minimalist Scandinavian to warm country. The natural elements and harmonious colours bring a touch of the outdoors to any space.
