If You Love Someone – Abstract Portrait of a Woman in Red & Black | Powerful Love Art

by Hilde Remerie – Digital Art, Bauhaus & Photography

‘If You Love Someone’ is a powerful and moving digital artwork centred on an abstract portrait of a woman. The face is composed of a high-contrast combination of light grey, white, black and intense red. The two halves of the face appear to depict different facets of love and vulnerability.

The dark shapes, cracks and red, dripping details give the portrait a raw and almost surrealistic quality. Beneath the face is a message in English about holding on tightly to someone, because life is short, and cherishing the moments together before they melt away. The text thus forms an important part of the artwork and reinforces its emotional impact.

The combination of an abstract portrait of a woman, strong black-and-white contrasts and red makes this a striking example of modern art depicting women. The piece suits a contemporary, industrial, modern or eclectic interior and can be used as a powerful statement piece in the living room, bedroom or personal space.

‘If You Love Someone’ is not a saccharine love poster, but an intense portrayal of love, vulnerability and the realisation that beautiful moments cannot be taken for granted.

The text is in English and means:
if you love someone
hold them close
because life is short.
cherish the moments
before they melt away.
