Castle Hill, Kura Tawhiti, New Zealand. The limestone rock formations are scattered over a large area, on the Alpine Highway. A sacred place for the Maori. It was a food gathering place for the Maori. This area is part of the route to the west coast. Imposing limestone rocks. The rocks are popular with climbers.

The Dalai Lama visited Castle Hill in 2002 and called it the "Spiritual Centre of the Universe".
