The Phare Mean Ruz lighthouse in Ploumanac’h on the Pink Granite Coast in France stood there quietly. It was a soft and quiet start to the evening. The absence of people in this usually busy place by the sea made the atmosphere around the lighthouse peaceful and serene.
As I sat on the rocks, the sun set in the sky and the colour of the pink granite became warmer and softer. The sea had calmed down and made a pleasant rippling sound. Every now and then a stray cloud drifted slowly by in the air.
The Mean Ruz lighthouse in Perros-Guirec on the Côte d’Armor was built in 1946, after the first lighthouse had been destroyed in the war. Phare Mean Ruz is built of pink granite, like the rocks around it, which makes the lighthouse a beautiful harmonious whole with its surroundings. In 1948 it let its light shine for the first time.
This tranquil photo by Phare Mean Ruz was captured during spring in Northern Brittany, France.
Welcome.
Keywords that describe my work: peace, space, serenity, simplicity, minimalist and mostly soft colors.
An invitation to be still and to slow down. Not only to look, but above all to experience the peace, space and simplicity, in the middle of the busy world..
