Pile heads are unique to the Zeeland coast. They break the waves and protect the coastline. They have been photographed and painted in countless ways. With this image, a combination of painting and photography has been brought together to create an abstract work in which the pile heads are still recognisable but by applying multiple exposures, a unique effect has been created.
