Radiant Freshness by Gallery Rosen

This colourful coloured-pencil still life depicts a sliced orange, a whole orange and several green leaves set against a warm brown background. The sliced fruit reveals fine white lines, individual segments and a pale pith. This creates an interesting contrast to the smooth, round shape of the whole orange. The different leaf shapes and their visible veins also lend the picture a natural, lively quality.
The inspiration came quite spontaneously when I saw an orange lying on a surface and was captivated by its vibrant colour and beautiful shape. I wanted to capture this simple, everyday moment and transform it into an appealing composition. The brown background conveys warmth and makes the vibrant colours stand out particularly clearly.
The artwork is intended to radiate a fresh, positive and pleasant feeling. For me, it represents the beauty of everyday things and the ability to discover special moments even in simple objects. The drawing was created exclusively with coloured pencils on slightly translucent, parchment-like drawing paper. The bold colours, the fine details and the natural still life make the picture a cheerful eye-catcher for the kitchen, dining room, living room or any other room where you want to create a warm and lively atmosphere.
