The skyline of Rotterdam with the Erasmus Bridge. The Erasmus Bridge, also known as "De Zwaan" because of its shape, is an iconic cable-stayed bridge in Rotterdam. It spans the river Maas and connects the northern and southern parts of the city.
The bridge was completed in 1996 and has since become a symbol of Rotterdam's modernity and innovation. It is also one of the most beautiful and most photographed bridges in the Netherlands. The Wilhelminapier can also be seen in the background.
The Wilhelminapier is the former port area in Rotterdam that was transformed years ago into a lively neighborhood with a mix of homes, businesses and cultural buildings. It is home to several notable landmarks, including the Hotel New York, the Montevideo, and the World Port Center.
