The desert elephants love trees with green leaves. But here in Damaraland there are hardly any green leaves on the trees. Because they have to find their food here over long distances, they easily travel 70 km a day. Elephants can felling an entire tree if they want a leaf from the top of the tree, but here they are extra careful with the vegetation.
