Under the bright sunshine of Yogyakarta, the roofs tell the story of the passing of time. Old terracotta tiles, weathered by the years and the tropical rains, mingle with rusty sheet metal, forming a mosaic of textures and colours. Between the shades of ochre, brown and rust, a few metallic touches reflect the light, creating a vibrant contrast. This view of the roofs of an old neighbourhood evokes the simplicity and ingenuity of everyday Indonesian life. On the edge of the roof, dishes exposed to the sun dry peacefully - a traditional and ordinary gesture, witness to a way of life rooted in the rhythm of the tropical climate. The deep blue sky and light clouds create a sense of space and warmth. The image captures a fragment of urban reality that is both raw and poetic, where wear and tear becomes beauty and each roof seems to breathe the history of its inhabitants.
