The wooden path through the wilderness

by Expedition Columbus

The Canadian wilderness consists of so much more than just mountains and glaciers. During our journey to the rugged west coast, we discovered the magical, ancient temperate rainforests. We captured this atmospheric scene on a hidden boardwalk, tucked away deep amongst the gigantic trees, ferns and thick mosses that adorn these unique ecosystems.

In this piece, you can see a wooden boardwalk with steps that winds its way like a serpentine line through a sea of lush greenery. The dense canopy of the metre-high conifers gently filters the sunlight, creating a beautiful interplay of light and shadow. Old, textured tree stumps and dense shrubs line the path, reinforcing the sense that you are entering a secret, unspoilt paradise.

This artwork brings the calming and vital energy of pure nature straight into your home. The deep, natural shades of green and the warm texture of the wood create a botanical and calming atmosphere in the room. It is the perfect wall decoration for a modern or Scandinavian interior, and works particularly well in a peaceful bedroom, a cosy living room or an inspiring workspace. An adventurous invitation to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a moment each day. Will you join us on this journey?
