Reminder of a unique bridge landscape near Vianen. Walking on the north side of the Lek River, I chose a vantage point below the bridges to obtain a unique view through from an unusual perspective to the old Lek Bridge on the left. This nostalgic arch bridge from 1936 had been out of service for a long time and has since been demolished. On the right, the replacement Jan Blankenbrug. The Jan Blankenbrug is a bridge over the river Lek for traffic of the freeway incorporated A2. The photo also gives a good idea of the solid construction and piers of these bridges.
