About the artwork

Went out with urbex photographer friends to the Tuchthuis Vilvoorde. That made a huge impression on me. The photos's in this series are by me.

Something about this unique location (source Wikipedia):
The Tuchthuis in Vilvoorde (popularly known as the Korrektie) is a former prison complex in the city of Vilvoorde. Built at the end of the eighteenth century, the Tuchthuis was at the time the second 'modern' prison in the Southern Netherlands. The Tuchthuis is located east of the Brussels-Scheldt Canal and just south of the city centre.

Description
The original complex was built in an austere classicist style. On the eastern side is a gatehouse. A linden lane in line with this gatehouse gives access to the former courtyard of honour, bordered on either side by the two angled additions from the second half of the nineteenth century; in the axis of the lane is the main entrance, in the middle of the remaining eastern main wing. The cells located on the outside are very small (1.8 m x 1.2 m) and covered with a barrel vault at right angles to the barrel vault of the corridor; they are closed by heavy oak doors fitted with a sliding lock and a spy hole. On each of the two floors of cells, there is one high workroom with barrel vault on the courtyard side.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
