Former weighbridge from 1917 with weighing house. This weighbridge was used in Zeeland at the time for beet campaigns. The farmers brought the beets, by horse and cart, the beets were weighed and then transported by boat to their final destination. (usually Dinteloord where the sugar factory is located). The village of Viane no longer exists. It used to be a hamlet on the peninsula and in the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland. There is now only 1 house.
