About the artwork

Young novice buddhist monks are playing card in one of the large rooms of their famous and iconic Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, Myanmar.
The Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery is an amazing 19th century red teak decorative structure with large oval windows standing on stilts – the theme of the area.
This 150-year-old monastery is a gem of Burmese architecture reflecting the art of constructing religious buildings in the feudal period. Teak wood, which is widely used in many monasteries in Myanmar, is the main material for construction. Especially the ceiling is decorated with gorgeous carvings and gold leaves.
One of the outstanding features that tourists can easily notice is its extremely large oval windows. This is an iconic structure that can barely be found in Myanmar since it was built to give shelter for poor boys in the region, who eventually become novice monks when they come to live here. This is the reason behind that ordinary look, but even so, its unique architecture can be comparable to any noble buildings in Myanmar.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
