You see the poppy a lot in the summer in the wild grass by the side of the road or in the meadows. But I also have them in my own backyard. Bees like to visit the poppy. And I like to give the bees a helping hand. The flowers look fragile, but they are real go-getters.

Because I like to walk a lot and capture the beauty of nature I got an "old" Nikon D5200 from a hobby photographer friend of mine.
I thought it would be fun to photograph flowers from up close so I quickly bought a macro lens. This gave me a lot of pleasure. Nature is so beautiful.
Later I traded my Nikon in for a new camera. A Sony from the A series for which I also bought a macro lens. Besides photographing nature, I also find it interesting and facinating…
