My name is Angelique and I live in the village Klijndijk in Drenthe. And Drenthe is also where it all started for me with taking pictures. In 1995 I got my first camera, but it was 15 years ago that I really started taking pictures. And that started with the recording of agricultural activities and the beautiful nature around it. Probably my grandfather was interested in this, he was a farmer and also recorded everything. My father always recorded everything, too. Where they did that with the video camera I picked it up and to this day I still take pictures of tractors that are busy on the land.
Despite the fact that photographing agricultural work never gets boring, I decided five years ago to broaden my horizon. I started taking family pictures. In which I have at some point delved into baby and child photography. Photographing people is different every time and that's what makes it so much fun for me as a photographer. It's a new challenge every time! One of my favorite things is birth photography. The emotion of a brand-new mother is one of the most beautiful things you can capture.
Over the years I have developed myself in areas of photography. Also by being busy with other forms, for example I like to go out for night photography or capturing thunderstorms and nature.
