Ariane is a Dutch artist who have been living in Western Australia for the past 25 years. A few years ago she changed careers from financial marketing to paper cut art.
You can see the sunny and warm climate where she lives, reflected in her collages!
Paper is Ariane’s favourite material. Before the cut paper into colourful mini collages, the gives the paper colour and texture by printing it on a gelplate.
Gelprinting is a form of mono printing where you use paint, brushes, stencils and found objects to make unique layered prints.
Ariane works between analog collages and pieces where she bring the paper shapes together into digital collages in Photoshop. Some of her works are full technical repeats which makes them suitable for large surface areas.
She welcomes commissions.
