To me, colour is more than just something you see. Colour is energy.

I am an intuitive artist and create colourful abstract art and mixed-media collages based on feeling, curiosity and my own experience. I combine paint, paper, (AI) images, patterns and unexpected details to create works that do not reveal everything at first glance, but invite you to look a little longer.

The energy of colour is central to my art. Colours can affect your mood, evoke memories, give you strength or, conversely, bring a sense of calm. I believe that you don’t just look at art, but that you can also feel something when you see it. That’s why I choose colours not only because they go well together, but also for the feeling and meaning they can convey.

My work often emerges intuitively. I begin without knowing exactly where it will end, and let colours, shapes and materials find their way together as I go along. Sometimes a woman, a face, a symbol or a constellation emerges; at other times, a completely abstract image. For me, the process is a journey of discovery in which emotion sets the direction.

Through my art, I aim to bring colour and energy into everyday life. A piece that brings your home to life, lifts your spirits and perhaps even touches something deep within you.

Colour gives energy. Art creates space. And sometimes an image conveys exactly what words cannot say.
