Fleeting moods are captured and transformed into abstract landscapes
and compositions are condensed, the colours and the process play
of painting plays an essential role. Most of my paintings are created
outdoors, in the open air and in summer. They are inspired by the
colours, smells, the landscape, cloud moods and the light of the
immediate surroundings. Often small quotations, text fragments from
magazines or tiny picture snippets from magazines are inserted and
partly painted over. They symbolize fleeting thoughts and moods,
small mosaic stones or pieces of a puzzle, that shape our lifes. The titles of my paintings usually refer to
to these moods, reflect them and invite to free associations.
