Floris E. Betrouw is a Surinamese artist, started as a hobbyist known for his self-designed Mixed Medium art technique, which began in 2011.
His profession is Mechanical Engineering, but ultimately it is innate art gifts that encouraged him to participate with national art and handy-craft competitions in 2012, where he won three (3) of the overall prizes. In 2014, he was allowed to participate with the National Exhibition for the Best Artists and the same year he was allowed to represent Suriname at the Caribbean Festival of Arts.
From Junie 2020, he participated with the international online art competitions, from which he has already been awarded 18 times to date.
Initially associated with his self-designed painting technique, namely painting with papier-mâché with formal elements with shape and depth points of each of these paintings resulting in a 3D visible radiant effect, is an art technique he is personally proud of, due to the fact that he is one of the first to work with this new understanding with this technique in such a way that the painter can accurately represent everything from reality (more vividly) compared to a flat art painting work.
His inspiration for painting art is to express the static representation of what you actually behold with vivid forms, by establishing rules that each painting requires, which you as an artist add to the process, Floris marked
