My name is Fred de Krom, professional photographer based in Waalre.
From the age of 13 photography has been my passion. I bought my first camera out of the money I made with a newspaper quarter; a Zenit B on which you had to set everything yourself. Heavy but I learned a lot from it. Later I bought a Rollei SL-66 medium format camera (even heavier...) and a mechanical Nikon 35mm camera. An equally enthusiastic uncle taught me how to print photos and I took my camera everywhere I went. Even when I later went into military service, my camera was in the tank... Studied at the University of Applied Photography in Apeldoorn and later became an account manager in the photo industry. However, the photographer's blood crawls where it can't go so I have been working as a full-time photographer for a number of years now.
With a sharp eye for detail I photograph people, animals, products and events. My main activities are wedding photography, product photography (for e.g. webshops), portraits, company photography, photo restoration (repairing old and/or damaged photos), designing and delivering photo banners and making photos that can be hung on the wall as an eye-catcher. Of course I can also be called in for a party, family photo's, an anniversary or a farewell. I photograph on location as well as in the studio and work for individuals, companies and institutions.
