About Gilbert Greenwood
Gilbert Greenwood grew up among paint, paintbrushes and wonder. From an early age, he saw more shades of green in a tree leaf than most people see in a rainbow. After studying Fine Arts in London - where he was known for his habit of making miniature paintings on coffee cups during lectures - he developed a unique style that merges nature and imagination.
His work is often described as "botanical dreams with a touch of British whimsy". Gilbert believes art should not shout, but whisper - just like the leaves in the wind that inspire him daily. When he is not painting, you will find him in his conservatory, drinking tea with his plants and claiming they give him artistic advice.
