About GreenART by Hubert Fenzl
Artistic background & roots
• Education: Studied art and art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the 1970s.
• Influences: Fundamental inspiration from my teacher K.F. Dahmen, one of the pioneers of the German Informel movement.
• Approach: Committed art with a focus on climate and environmental protection, as well as radical freedom of expression and a constant search for new, unconventional and experimental paths.
Educational success & response
• Work: Long-standing art teacher at the Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell with the aim of awakening the creative innovative potential of young people.
• Media coverage: Over 100 television reports and more than 1,000 press articles document this unconventional educational approach.
• Awards: These include the ‘Bavarian Culture Prize’ and the ‘State Prize of the Bavarian Ministry of Culture’.
Current work
• Focus: For the past 25 years, I have once again devoted myself entirely to my independent, uncompromising artistic practice.
• Style & Technique: Environmentally-related themes and the fusion of the freedom of the Informell style with the dynamic principles of the Fluid Art technique.
• Effect of the Fluid Art technique: An energetic interplay of chance and
colour, giving rise to organic structures. My art thrives on the dialogue between control and letting go. The Fluid Art technique allows me to freeze the moment of flow.
