Jan Everink was born in the village of Tubbergen in Twente, where he developed a passion for drawing and sketching at a very young age. As a teenager he became, through his contacts with his uncle, a professional photographer, enthusiastic for photography. He moved to Amsterdam where he graduated from the Hogere Confectieschool, an academy for fashion and clothing technology. Later, through courses and self-study, he also mastered various other fields' such as computer programming, copywriting, graphic design and web design. Through the years he has worked in these fields for several companies. In his spare time Jan remained active with photography and art; he also immersed himself in various philosophical and social subjects. He has written several books and numerous magazine articles on art, philosophy, advertising and various other subjects. Since a few years he uses the computer for his art production. He chose digital art because the computer offers great opportunities to create abstract works of art. Nowadays he lives with his wife in Almere. There, besides his artistic production, he still finds time for his work as an author, copywriter and web designer. Jan considers his art as a bridge between his inner world and his fellow man, a constant attempt to communicate with images that cannot be expressed in words.
