My work as a photographer arose from a great need to make beautiful things. To capture moments that have a certain beauty in themselves and might not otherwise be seen. By focusing the camera so consciously on beauty I show myself and the viewer world that also exists. A world, moments and emotion that are personally important. The visual age in which we live also makes it possible to share this world and therefore also provides a connection between people that I experience as essential.
Thanks to my extensive experience in the theatre, theatre photography was the first thing I did. Soon, portrait photography and wedding photography were added.
I also like to experiment with emotion, time and movement in my free work. That work consists of landscapes, self-portraits and projects in which I collaborate with dancers. The experiment, the failures, the discoveries and the successes make that work very valuable to me.
