Jorrit Verkleij (1998) is a qualified behavioural biologist with a love of photography and a strong passion for birds. He loves nothing more than heading out every day to keep track of and capture the local birdlife.
In his early years of ‘photography’, portraits were his main focus, but nowadays a growing part of his portfolio consists of high-key shots, and he is developing a habit of zooming out a little. Abstract images of birds in flight and close-ups of wild butterflies can also be found in his galleries these days.
Conveying the fragility and artistry of nature is his top priority.
